: Weather charts indicate that the country will continue to be affected by fresh to strong northwesterly wind (locally known AlBawarih) until weekend due to the extension of Indian Monsoon low over the region.
Wind speed expected to range between 15 to 25 kt gusting to 30-35 kt at times during daytime.
However, wind speed weakens at night with a noticeable drop in humidity in general. The northerly windy conditions expected to cause wave height to rise (4-8 Ft) and low visibility (below 3km at times) due to blowing dust especially in open areas.
In addition, high temperatures fluctuating around mid forties °C expected to continue over most areas. Therefore, Qatar Meteorology Department urged all residents to be cautious and to avoid direct sunlight as well as to follow latest updates through it’s official social media accounts.
