NHRC chief meets Dutch rights officials

The Chairman of the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC), Dr Ali bin Smaikh al-Marri, met in Amsterdam yesterday with the Director of Multilateral Organisations and Human Rights at the Dutch Foreign Ministry, Peter van der Vliet, his deputy, as well as human rights officials at the ministry. Dr al-Marri said in a press statement after the meeting that he reviewed with the officials the reports of violations committed by the siege countries on the citizens of Qatar and many of the citizens of those countries who have presented their complaints to the NHRC. He said that the NHRC is to mobilise international efforts to come out with the consensus of the international community to condemn the humanitarian violations caused by the siege imposed on Qatar through intensive meetings with the relevant international organisations and official institutions of Europe, Canada and the US.
