Vodafone, QC team up to spread joy

Vodafone and Qatar Charity (QC) are teaming up throughout the holy month of Ramadan to spread joy with four volunteering visits to hospital patients, children, and the elderly.
Vodafone employees visited Hamad General Hospital and handed out boxes of dates and recharge cards to accident patients to help them contact their families abroad. At Hamad Al Wakra Hospital, children celebrated Garangao night with a magic show, face painting, and lots of Garangao sweets.
Mothers at Hamad Women’s Hospital with newborns were greeted with flowers and gifts, while at the Seniors Rehabilitation Centre, the elderly were greeted with dates and gifts.
“Empowering employees to do good and supporting employee charity initiatives is one of our core beliefs at Vodafone,” said Dana Haidan, head, corporate social responsibility at Vodafone Qatar.
Vodafone Qatar’s employee volunteering programme ‘Kafu’ was launched in 2015 and has since seen many of their employees put in hundreds of volunteering hours both in Qatar and abroad.
