Qatar Post launches Global Priority service

A much “demanded and awaited” Global Priority service of Qatar Post was formally launched yesterday that will offer door-to-door service to both retail and corporate customers for over 220 countries and territories.
“Qatar Post is extending its Global Priority service to both retail and corporate customers powered by the UPS network. The new service will allow Qatar Post customers to send and track letters and parcels in a secure and efficient way in multiple markets,” said a statement.
Talking to The Peninsula, Maud Daniel, Qatar Post’s Head of Marketing and Communications said that there was a great demand for the service particularly from Q-Post’s corporate customers. “We went through a trial in November last year and offered the Global Priority service to our corporate customers and the trial was very successful” she said, adding that the clients who had availed the service during trial phase were more than happy with the tariff and delivery speed.
Global Priority service offers a new Track and Trace feature allowing visibility on the entire postal journey and is protected by a money-back guarantee, hence maximising transparency, reliability and convenience for postal customers. On the launch of new service, Khalid Al Emadi, Deputy Director of Sales & Marketing, said: “Qatar Post is always striving to offer the best of its products and services to all our customers, private and corporate. We are proud to launch our fastest international delivery to both our retail and business segments as they represent a strong potential for growth.”
Maud Daniel said that the service had been started with a ‘launch offer’ which would continue until end of August this year. “In the presence of this lucrative launch-offer and door-to-door collection and delivery mechanism, I think no customer (retail or corporate) will stay behind from availing the Global Priority service,” she added.
During Ramadan, Qatar Post is offering to all current and potential customers 40% off.
The reliability of this newly provided service will ensure that all services provided are tailor-made to suit the expanding needs of the country as it gears towards delivering its international commitments in 2022 and achieving the principles of the Qatar National Vision 2030. GWC, the leading logistics provider in Qatar, was appointed as the authorised service contractor for UPS in Qatar in 2015, reshaping their presence in the country, and redefining the customer experience.
“Qatar Post’s Global Priority operated through UPS’s global network is in line with our commitment to enhance the express courier solutions offered in Qatar, we look forward to servicing Qatar Post’s clientele and contributing to grow international businesses” stated Maaz Syed, GWC Director.
