Ooredoo volunteers gift water and dates along the Corniche

To kick off its 2017 Ramadan CSR activities, Ooredoo volunteers surprised people walking along Doha’s Corniche yesterday, with a special gift of water and dates to break their fast for Iftar.
The volunteers, who represented some of the business units across the company, were stationed at the end of the Corniche near West Bay, to distribute the gifts at sunset.
This act of kindness is the official launch of the company’s 2017 Ramadan CSR campaign, which this year will be communicated under the theme—  ‘Hand-In-Hand’. Ooredoo has a host of important community initiatives planned for the holy month and the company hopes its messaging inspires customers to join in with the good deeds.
Manar Khalifa Al Muraikhi, Director, Community and Public Relations, Ooredoo, said: “I can’t think of a better way to start our month-long CSR initiatives than seeing our customers, wishing them a ‘Ramadan Mubarak’ and being in the heart of Doha on the beautiful Corniche. This year, our activities will not only give back to those who need it most, but will encourage everyone to get involved in any way they can to truly join in the spirit of the Holy Month.”
Customers can follow Ooredoo’s Ramadan Hand-in-Hand campaign via its Facebook, Instagram or Twitter page and the hashtag #ShareAMoment.
