The Secretary-General of the Arab Media Forum, Madi Al-Khamis, announced that Katara will be the official guest of honor at the 2018 forum in Kuwait. The press conference was held at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) in the presence of Dr. Khaled Bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti, General Manager of Katara, and Mr. Madi Al-Khamis, Secretary-General of the Arab Media Forum, journalists and persons interested in cultural and media activities.
On this occasion, HE Dr. Khalid Bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, expressed his pleasure at this initiative and praised the partnership between Katara and the Arab Media Forum which resulted in the signing of a joint cooperation agreement between the two institutions in last April as katara took part in the session 14, which was held in Kuwait and discussed media culture, the positive message and social responsibility of the media. He pointed out that the issues of culture and information are at the center of the concerns of the Cultural Village (Katara), and at the forefront of the activities that Katara is keen to organize.
Mr. Madi Al Khamis, Secretary General of the Arab Media Forum, said: “The choice Cultural Village Katara to be the official guest of honor for the next session which will be organized in the State of Kuwait next year is based on the prestigious international standing held by Katara as a global cultural beacon and the title of cultural renaissance witnessed by the State of Qatar, Pointing out that culture and media are enlightening signs that characterize that renaissance.
