Hamad International Airport (HIA), Qatar’s gateway to the world, remains busy with national carrier Qatar Airways and many other international airlines operating normal schedules, despite the air blockade imposed by some neighbouring Gulf and Arab countries. Qatar Airways flies to more than 150 destinations around the world. The airline said most of these services operate as scheduled. The rush at the airport is expected to peak towards the last week of the holy month of Ramadan in view of the Eid festivities.
