The Community College of Qatar opened Sunday its second charity exhibition in cooperation with Qatar Cancer Society.
More than 100 exhibitors will participate in the exhibition, which is held in favor of cancer patients and will include all women’s and family’s needs.
A number of lectures and awareness workshops will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition, which will discuss vital topics aimed at raising awareness of cancer and promoting periodic screening for early detection.
Commenting on the occasion, President of the Community College Dr. Ibrahim Al Naimi expressed pleasure for the cooperation with Qatar Cancer Society to support its efforts aiming at combating the disease through raising awareness of the community.
He added that the exhibition reflects the college’s deep belief in the importance of social responsibility as an integral part of its mission.
For his part, HE Chairman of Qatar Cancer Society Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Jabor Al-Thani hailed the cooperation and coordination between the two foundations and the events organized by the college to develop the community.
He underlined that working the field of combating cancer is a humane and charitable act, which requires concerted efforts and solidarity in order to fight this disease. (QNA)
