Ooredoo volunteers visit Fahad Bin Jassim Kidney Centre

A host of Ooredoo volunteers visited the Fahad Bin Jassim Kidney Centre yesterday to #ShareAMoment with patients as part of the company’s Hand-In-Hand Ramadan CSR campaign.

The visit was the latest in a series of initiatives from Ooredoo for hospitals, homes for the elderly and children’s centres, during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Ooredoo’s delegation was received by the PR Director of Hamad General Hospital, a team of nurses, staff, and patients from the Fahad Bin Jassim Kidney Centre. Volunteers had the chance to spend time with patients undergoing dialysis and treatment at the centre, and surprise them with gifts. Talking about the visit, Manar Khalifa Al Muraikhi, Director PR and Corporate Communications, Ooredoo said: “Ooredoo has a long history of supporting kidney patients in Qatar, and the Fahad Bin Jassim Kidney Centre. I’m delighted to have the chance to #ShareAMoment with the amazing patients and help raise awareness of the great work the staff do to treat people suffering from acute and chronic kidney disease.” The kidney centre offers a modern and spacious area for patients, with 80 stations and 20 private rooms.

Ooredoo’s Hand-In-Hand campaign still has a host of important community initiatives planned this Holy Month and the company hope their messaging inspires customers to join in with the good deeds.

Customers can follow Ooredoo’s Ramadan Hand-in-Hand campaign via its Facebook, Instagram or Twitter page and the hashtag #ShareAMoment.
