The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ yesterday announced that it completed works on Phase 1 of Ali bin Abi Talib Street development.
Phase 1 constitutes 65% of the total works on the Street. This project is part of phase six of a project to develop roads and roundabouts in various areas in greater Doha.
Phase 1 included the conversion of both Al Maahed and Al Qafila roundabouts to signal-controlled intersections as well as the development and opening of two lanes on Ali bin Abi Talib Street which connects C-Ring and D-Ring roads. Phase 2 of the project has begun as scheduled on May 28.
The works include the addition of a third lane to Ali bin Abi Talib Street and a service road in each direction.
All Phases of Ali bin Abi Talib Street and surrounding roads development are expected to be completed on 15 September 2017.
